weather in July
We been there in late June, for 2 of the past 4 years, and it been wonderful, even HOT weather. But our friends who went in one of the years in between got rained on for 3 days straight. One day of rain, and you can still enjoymaybe a valley hike in the rain and see Trummelbach (sp.?) Falls. If it rains a 2nd day, take the train down to the lakes and the tour the towns (Thun and others) there. If it rains a 3rd day, maybe get just a little depressed, but have a long romantic dinner to cheer you up.
I think I opt for the hiking boots. They are a little combersome to pack but you can go anywhere with them rain or north face coupons 2013 shine. Some of the trails are quite rocky around Murren and can be steep in places. Better to be safe. Also most people don think about it but hiking boots are the generally accepted footwear almost everywhere in the alps. If there is rain both will be colder. Layers always seem to be the best bet with a rainproof outer shell. Enjoy your trip.
